You can start your own home-based business with the help of a company. The benefit of using an existing system is, they give you a guideline that you can follow-or modify and make it your own. It gives you a roadmap. This is where prepackaged home based business come in. These are programs that have been created to eliminate some of the guess work out of trying to start something from the scratch.
‘Which one of these programs work? Are they really able to make the kind of money that they claim in their advertisements and sales pitch? Why or why not?’ Whenever a company or someone is trying to sell you into their ‘business opportunity,’ before you say yes, the main thing you need to determine is, ‘what is the potential?’ Often times people are looking for opportunities, but do not know what will be required of them or do not understand the intricacies of how these programs work. Some people have spent two, three, four, five years simply trying to figure out how these programs work.
So, ‘how long will it take me to make money?’ you may ask. The time that you will see results will depend on your effort and commitment. A conservative answer to this question is that you will need to give any type of a new project a minimum of one year. Even traditional businesses that have major financial backing rarely make money in their first year. This is not to say they are necessarily losing money- usually they are at best making even. But it generally takes a minimum of one year to pay back the investment money. In home-business you could start earning huge money in a matter of weeks. Nothing is impossible here.
I have seen people who begin a project, or they joined a multilevel marketing group- they try out the program for three to six months. Seeing that they are not making the kind of money that they initially thought, they will quit. Because they still wish to be financially independent, they constantly look for another program and then another that make them a considerable amount of money- and then give up within the same three to six months. Some of these people will even expect to make money within one month. What these people end up doing is, in a period of a year, they may have tried two or three different programs and never made money in any of them. So they become a perpetual beginner- but never a finisher. They never see the great rewards of dedication and commitment.
So exactly how long will it take you to become rich? There is no straight answer because there are many variables. With today’s technological advances such as internet, businesses can be connected throughout the world. You may reach the million dollar mark in two years, five years, or it may take you ten years.
Regardless of the marketing tactics that company mat use to get you join, or purchase their program- regardless of their testimonials that they may have people increasing their net worth or securing residual income within one, three or six months, that should not be your time line for determining whether the program will or will not work for you.
The reality is some of these programs do work. Although there are occasional ones that have blatantly falsified results. A good number of programs I have seen do work. But the reality is, 95% of the people who purchase these programs, do so because of their impulsive buying habit, compounded by their dire need to get out of a bad financial situation. Less than 5% of them will actually make the kind of money that the program’s host is talking about. This is not because the information that was provided within the program is insufficient, rather the majority of the people who sign-up for these programs will not actually apply the information that was provided within. They’ll either talk themselves out of it, or they’ll read the first chapter and decide not to go any further- or they’ll realize that it’s not as easy as they initially thought it was. The question you will want answered is will it work for me?’
The absolute most important factor in everything is for you to take action on it. Even if the action you take is the wrong one, at least you are moving towards something rather than sitting back doing nothing. No matter which personal development coach you listen to, they will tell you need to take action-period.
You You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.
Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home based business.
That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home based business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be *IN THE RING* to truly understand and profit from it. In fact, this is a business where you can truly be earning WHILE you're still learning...
The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home based business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow and therefore you succeed. This is what I call: "Making the Leap"!

In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business.
